  • Prohibited/Restricted Products: Due to Liberty Mutual policies, the following product types cannot be sold or displayed during the Market:

    • Nothing involving/alluding to alcohol, smoking or drugs

    • No salacious/inappropriate/curse words on products

    • No nudity or imagery that alludes to a nude form (even if it is artist and beautiful!)

Registration Details:

  • Registration Fee: $60 non-member, $51.00 EmpowerHER Member

  • Number of Participating Vendors: ~15

  • Table & Chairs: Liberty Mutual will provide (1) 6ft table & (1) chair per vendor

  • Vending Space Size: 6’ x 4’

    • Space can accommodate a standard 6ft folding table and small rack or sign.

    • Cannot accommodate a small L-Shape set-up.

Location Details:

  • The Portsmouth Liberty Mutual campus is an expanding hub for the local company.

  • The Market will be marketed as a Spring Fling event with food, music and fun! It’s also going to be the perfect Mother’s Day shopping opportunity.

  • The Market will be promoted to all Employees via internal portals, newsletters, and promotional screens/signs.

  • This is a private market for employees only. Do not promote this market publicly to your customers/audience.

  • The location is accessible by elevator, making it easy for carts and dollies.

  • Raffle: During the event, we’ll be hosting a raffle! We’ll ask each participating vendor to contribute a small item (around $20 value) to the raffle. Customers will get 1x ticket for each item purchased at the market to enter the raffle!

  • Food & Drinks: Snacks and a coffee bar is available during the market.

  • AV & Electricity: Limited electricity is available. Please bring your own extension cord for use.

  • WIFI: Yes

  • Bathrooms: Indoor

  • Parking: Free on-campus parking

  • Con: While we did pop-up last year for a Holiday Market, we have never popped up for a Spring event, so do not have specific data on traffic outcomes. Historically, Liberty Mutual employees are really enthusiastic and excited to support our community!

How We Use Your Vendor Fee:

At BWM, we want to be open and honest about how we use your vendor fee. We always aim to put your fee to good use and ensure that our events are a success for your small business!

Here are some ways we plan to use your vendor fee for this event:

  • Print Marketing and Promotional and Directional Signage

  • Labor costs for BWM Staff.

  • Event Decor and supplies.

  • Investment in future BWM initiatives.

Our Cancellation Policy:

We understand life events occur and plans change! Please review our cancellation policy thoroughly before applying to ensure this is the right opportunity for you.

To cancel, you must notify BWM via e-mail at hello@Bostonwomensmarket.com by the following dates:

  • 100% refund: If notified at least 10 days before the date of the event.

  • 50% refund: If notified at least 9 days before the date of the event.

  • No refund: If notified 8 days or less before the date of the event.

Bad Weather Event Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellation Before The Event Date: If the Boston Women’s Market team cancels an event due to inclement weather (wind, rain, storms, heatwave, snow storms, etc.) before the event date, you will receive a refund of your registration fee minus 18%. Table & Chair rental fees will be refunded 100%.

  • Cancellation Day-Of Event: If the Boston Women’s Market team cancels an event due to inclement weather the day-of the event (wind, rain, storms, heatwave, snow storms, etc.) you will receive a 50% refund of your registration fee. Table & Chair rental fees will be refunded 100%.

Why are we now charging a 18% fee?

As you can imagine, a great deal of time, effort and money has already been spent well in advance of knowing we will need to cancel an event due to weather. Each time we have to cancel an event, BWM loses hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars that has already been spent on advertising and labor. Additionally, we have to re-do all our labor and marketing to re-advertise an event if it is moved to a new date. In order to help plug this large leak and keep us financially stable, we have decided to implement this new policy. This is not a decision that we have taken lightly. We personally know how important every dollar is to a small business. We hope you can understand why we have to implement this new policy.

This Bad Weather policy will apply to:

  • Events that have been cancelled and no rescheduled date can be established

  • If an event has been rescheduled to a new date, and you cannot participate in the new date
