GROW YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA ORGANICALLY (IT’S WORTH IT)

As a small business owner, you have more than enough on your plate. And social media can easily fall to the wayside. But now that it’s shoppable, it’s just as important (if not more) as maintaining your website or store.

Growing your social media presence is time-consuming, but it’s also rewarding. Here are a few tips to help get you started.

Plan Your Content

Sign up for a free scheduling tool, such as Planoly or Later. (Both are great.) Simply connect your Instagram and Facebook accounts and load content in. This allows you to stay organized and create a cohesive grid. Try to get in the habit of planning and scheduling your content at least one week in advance. You can even auto-schedule it and let it post on its own.

Engage With Others

The best way to grow an organic following is to engage with your audience. Plus, Instagram’s algorithm will reward you if you do. But this can also be automated to save you (and your thumbs) some time and energy. LikeGrowers is an inexpensive paid tool that automates “likes” based on criteria such as relevant hashtags, locations, and more.

Host a Giveaway

Partner with a complementary brand or host a social sweeps on your own. It doesn’t have to be complicated, simply encourage your audience to tag a friend (or two) for a chance to win.
