MEET YOU AT BOSTON WOMEN’S MARKET!

Hello,

Welcome to the Boston Women’s Market family! BWM isn’t just another market; it’s a place to become a change-maker and an opportunity for you to amplify your voice in support of women-founded businesses and artists.

Ever since our 2017 debut at the beautiful Loring-Greenough House in Jamaica Plain, we’ve been working tirelessly to preserve a space for founders and artists of all kinds; from wood-workers, to candle makers, to illustrators. It’s simple to join us on our journey for change. Head to one of our upcoming markets, give a shout-out to your favorite women-founded brand on your social media, or send mom a locally-made gift from the Shop.

We hope to see you soon,

MEET

AFRICA RUBIO PASTOR

Co-Founder

“My name is Africa Rubio Pastor, Co-Founder of Boston Women’s Market. I’m originally from Madrid, Spain. When I lived in Spain I spent a lot of time with my mother at markets (as a vendor) helping her with her business. I realized the hard work that goes into building a business, setting up for markets, selling your products and the long hours standing. BWM was built to provide vendors with an incredible experience while being part of our markets and community. I love that I can help your business thrive and support your journey through Boston Women’s Market!”

CARA LOFFREDO

Co-Founder

“A passion for entrepreneurship runs in my blood. I grew up surrounded by family members that all have had a small business at one point or another; from a dog & cat boarding kennel to an outdoor waterpark. After graduating from Suffolk University, I began working for a variety of organizations where I was able to get my hands dirty in all things small business, from running payroll, to event organization, to graphic design. Over the years I’ve come to realize I get the greatest satisfaction and joy from helping others learn and succeed, and I strive to bring this to the BWM community every day!”

Cara Loffredo and Africa Rubio Pastor join Editor-in-Chief of Women Create, Jennifer Blot for a conversation on the importance of shopping local woman-founded businesses, especially during the critical holiday selling season. For the past six years, Cara and Africa have been running markets throughout the Boston area and have helped launch the careers of many women entrepreneurs, along with expanding their own business with new initiatives, including a popup brick-and-mortar shop earlier this year and a new series of Holiday Markets at the historic Faneuil Hall Marketplace.
